A 5K timed race or casual walk-run-roll with 5K or 1-1/2 mile course on an asphalt path winding through the park’s beautiful woods and meadows. $30 per person if registered by September 20. Veterans get $10 off with “coupon” code “VeteransCare” All advance registrants get a long-sleeved, wicking, performance shirt. You are welcome to attend without registering and visit with exhibitors, but you won’t get timing bib, swag bag, shirt, etc. It’s a free, public park! Children under age 14 do not need to register, but we are selling Youth-sized t-shirts at $11 for them.
Fisher House provides a free “home away from home” for our guests: the family/caregivers who have traveled more than 50 miles to be with Veterans who are receiving medical care. There are 20 suites in the house on the VA grounds at Jefferson Barracks. Free transportation is arranged, if needed, between there and the John Cochran facilities. Our motto: “a family’s love is good medicine.”
